Welcome back week! Such a good weekend full of sunshine and traveling to Washington DC - Smithsonian Aviation & Aerospace Museum, Lotte Store, Trader Joes, and Whole Foods Market. Oh I'm dreaming...
So anyways, the hubby and I got a lot of walking around this weekend seeing as it hurts to run still. The bruises just might be getting worse but I know from experience that is usually a good thing. My cut has finally built a nice scab and is less inflamed, yay! On Sunday I couldn't take it anymore and ran 2 miles (in the daylight). Then afterward I did some icing and crocheting.
Food has been rather good this last weekend. We did splurge a little when we hit Lotus Vegetarian in Chantilly, VA on Saturday but it was all healthy ingredients and vegan. (mmm Avocado Sushi) There have also been a lot of fresh vegetables and fruits on the menu so I'm thrilled.
Hubby and I have been really working hard on doing things that isn't going to stress my knees. I'm still on my streak of working out at least 10 minutes a day - even though the pain. If I can do it with two very sore knees, then anyone can!
For now we are looking to get a Petzl Headlight for running and a few more reflective Nathan products for safety. What's your favorite night safety item?
