What makes me fall off the wagon

Change. I always struggle when the normal routine gets disrupted. THis might be by something as simple as the weekend. But it always does. Iv'e gotten better at trying to make weekends their own routine, but it hasn't always worked; there are too many variables.

Failing to plan. Then I struggle a little. But sometimes the planning is too hard! :(

The one other big thing that throws me off is when I let myself get overwhelemed. Then I tend to lose track of what I'm doing.

    You can do this. I use to get overwhelmed all the time and it is hard to keep in check. But what i do is say to myself what is the worst possible thing that can happne from what is going on and how likly is that going to happen and that usally calms me down.

    These things set me off too. I am very sensitive to both change in routine and emotionally overwhelming situations. But the way I see it, it is better to know our triggers, and have a base to work from, than to not know them at all. Good luck, and even the smallest changes in the right direction, and still wonderful and positive!!!

    Wow, we sound alike! I have a hard time dealing with changes...even if they are good changes, I have a hard time.

    Don't be so hard on yourself, just think that one slip is not defeat. Weekends are kind of unpredictable for me too, make the best out of it and like MDKM80 says, take baby steps to fix it. Good luck!!!

    My husband works weekends so my diet isn't as healthy as it should be, so this last time at the grocery store I took steps to fix this !! I will see if it works this weekend. I feel what you are going through. emoticon

    Is there a way to make weekend's easier?

If you cook your meals during the week, can you make a little extra and heat up leftovers on the weekend?

    The best thing you can do is see the pattern and take baby steps to fix it and it seems to me you see the issues at hand. =) I also struggle with weekends and planning is hard, it's not something I can do on a weekend when my kids have no school and house work needs to be caught up on, plus all the other little things that get in the way.
