In SparkCoach I was asked the question about my fitness journey so far. It has been interesting to say the least. I am easily bored, so I when a routine bored me I had to find one that didn't. I left out alot in the narrative below but for the most part that is the story. I have even thought of sharing this new found love of the workout with others and will eventually look into become a trainer.
My fitness journey has been a trip through the looking glass. I started this year, w/the do at least 10 min thing and then I went on to different exercise route. I had Slim in 6 and I did that for a month and got bored. I started jazzercise "Burlesque" and started first w/the short 20 min routine then got into the full 45 min and that is when the short routines stopped. I went to Hip Hop Abs and that kept me hopping for a while. I forgot how much I loved that and then added more to it so I could keep myself active. I was getting up at 4:30 but I knew if I wanted to do a 50min routine I would have to get up at 4AM. I did and when I don't oversleep I do. I walk my dogs then I work out. One of my dogs goes downstairs and the other just goes back into the bedroom. It is almost like "OMG she is at it again!! I am not going to stay in here she might kick me or something!"
I am now doing RevAbs and this is a seriously tough workout. I am doing some modified and some regular moves. The main thing is that I am not quitting. I was in the "Cobra" this morning and the last round I was struggling. I dropped my arms back to the modified and hung in there.
I am looking at trying some other workouts. I occasionally do a Tiffany Roth workout from YouTube, or just a series of movements from something that I have downloaded. I can do this now since I have worked out hard enough prior to NOW!! I want to try Tai Chi but the routine I want to try is not in my price range right now. I have to wait but I hope to get it next year. My husband may even join me for this one.
