Time to Change Things Up

Monday, November 12, 2012

I am actually taking time out for myself each day lately. I hadn't done this in so long that I'm feeling a little guilty. I will still take time out for me, but I want to get a little more creative with my schedule. I want to broaden my horizons a little more.

One way I want to do this is to spend more time with family and friends. I haven't seen some of my friends in so long that it's sad. And I used to spend a little more time with family. Don't know how I let myself get out of that habit, but it's time to get back into that.

I am enjoying the time that I am spending volunteering at the food pantry. I'm doing this a couple days a week for two and a half hours each day. But I think that I want to find another place to volunteer at and spend one day a week at each place. So, I will do some investigating. I'm leaning towards Habitat for Humanity, but still want to see what's out there. There may be something else out there that doesn't get a lot of people helping out that may need the help more. Something to think about.

I know why I get restless this time of year. Now it's just time to do something to change it.

emoticon with the volunteer work, it is so good to help others while keeping yourself busy so that you don't fall into the restlessness. Good for you for taking time out of the day just for you as well. Hope that you work out the time to visit with friends and family again soon.

emoticon I am glad that you are finding time to take care of You! That was one of the hardest things for me to learn to do. Think about the library for volunteer programs. I pulled books for the home bound for three years and felt such a sense of accomplishment. Just keep taking the time to enjoy yourself. emoticon
