Thank God for hearing me of little faith.

So me of little faith did not think I would make it to Véronique's funeral because it's in Vacaville CA and because of Erik. My DIL offered for her and my eldest son to come after work and stay with him, but the cost for daytime care would have been a heavy burden on Erik's money.
When I texted my daughter and eldest son with the time and date of the funeral, I heard nothing for several hours. During her lunch 1/2 hour my daughter saw my text and responded that she would be working from home that week and that Erik could stay with them. My son in a later conversation said "I just thought you were providing us with information. Between eldest son and my DD Erik will be cared for and it will only cost the regular Monday caregiver's trip to therapy with him. Yeah. Thank God for my eldest two.
Next I was considering the cost of the trip-Thanksgiving week, a hotel, a car and meals outside of the hotel provided breakfast, I sure hope they have fresh fruit! My sister said I could share a room with her, but our nephew is covering the cost and that amongst the siblings there surely would be someone who could pick me up at the airport and shuttle me around. With that I called my financial advisor for an objective take on the situation and he said, "You better go Ginie, and if you need money we will withdraw it from your funds. "
So Thank YOU GOD for this opportunity to be with 6 of my siblings and my nephews, great nephews-first time ever, nieces and BIL-also first time ever. So now my problems are mundain, what to wear, what to take, how can I travel lighter than usual because I don't want the airlines to lose my bag with my dress for the funeral. I also have to pack for Erik, see the lawyer, go to court, and buy what we need for our Friday, the 23rd Thanksgiving. I have a lot to do and a lot to be thankful for.
