Healthy by the Holidays: November check-in

September 1st: 160 lbs (actual weight: 163 lbs)
October 1st: 154 lbs (actual weight: 156 lbs)
November 1st: 148 lbs (actual weight: 155 lbs)
December 1st: 150 lbs

Only lost one pound this month, but I'm still so happy to be under 160!!! I'm back to where I was at college graduation, but I still have to lose 20-35 more lbs. I reset my weight-loss goal for December since I'm so far behind. My problem seems to be finding motivation and time to exercise around teaching. When I get home after work, I'm so stressed that all I want to do is read or play games online, trying not to freak out about school the next day. =\ Teaching in the inner city is rough in so many ways, but so far I've been able to resist comfort food!

  Teaching anywhere is stressful, but it must be especially difficult where you are.
Take comfort in other things....do the unwinding by reading for a while, then focus on something different. I walked nearly every day after school (I'm retired) and found that to be 'de-stressing' too. Good luck, and never give up!! emoticon
