Dinner is one of my least favorite meals!!!!! Every night my boyfriend and I have the hardest time figuring out what to make for dinner!!!

We can never decide so then we settle for McDonald's or going out to a sit down restaurant. I have tried planning meals for the week and that doesn't work. I have prepared every single meal for the week to the point were all we have to do is pretty much heat it up. We still end up going out to eat or eating like boxed meals.

I always feel guilty every single time we do this and I know that it's bad as we ordering food.

It's just that we are so tired and hungry after work that neither one of us wants to cook! So we settle for what's easy.

Does any one else have this problem and if so how do you break this awful habit?

It is hard. The best thing I've come up with is batch cooking on the weekend. And maybe planning ONE dinner that you can cook on a weeknight after work that you know you will have ingredients for and you can make it in less than 30 minutes. The batch cooking on the weekends also helps with having homemade things to bring to work for lunches!

Another good thing is to make soup or chili and then freeze in containers so you can just grab them and warm them up for quick lunches or dinners too!

I make tons of food on the weekend and then I have lots of things to choose from for my dinners. Trying to substitute a protein drink if I get in after 8pm.

I have this problem currently, especially because I'm still a novice cook.

How about this for a start - on weekends/public holidays, try to prepare/cook food at home instead of going out for meals. And for work days, make sure you eat lots and lots of fresh fruits (that what I do as it helps me to not overeat greasy food) to balance out the eating outs and make sure you try to make the best choices such as take smaller portion or split the portions into eat now and eat later (I did this one time at a restaurant for a lasagna).

Good luck!
