Busy days ahead

Sunday, November 11, 2012

Well today was busy but I enjoyed it. I got my lawn mowed, walked the dog, raked some leaves, did laundry and dishes.

Now the next couple of weeks at work are going to be busy. I know it. I work for a local school district and it is state reporting time for Special education and I am in charge of the reports. This year we switched to a new system so not all of our students are showing up which means we will lose money if we don't submit them.

I am trying to prepare a head of time by making my lunches, bringing music with me so that I can block out all the other noise and to ignore my phone if it isn't important. Every year I get stressed out about the reporting. It isn't due until the Monday after the Thanksgiving holiday but I will be out that day so I need to get it done earlier. I worked on it Saturday (overtime) and saw what I needed to really get done in the next few days.

People are going to hate me in the next couple of weeks and I will be snippy but those who know me know why. They make jokes and make me smile and also know to avoid me . I am not letting it stress me so much that I can't get my exercising in or eat right. I plan for this ahead of time.

So after the reporting is done it will be time for holidays and the fun stress begins. Have a great day/night/afternoon.

I can understand THIS one. Have a blessed time. I too work for a school system - I TEACH students with special needs and don't have YOUR responsibility but I have a WHOLE lot of documenting responsibilities and must also teach. I will pray for you and ask you to tuck me into YOUR prayers too. Take time to take care of YOU - you can't do your job if you don't get the sleep, food, and destressing that YOU need.
