I'm down 3.2lbs from last week!!! Ok, I know it's only water weight with my body adjusting after a month of eating candy and drinking soda. But it's still motivating to keep on going!!! Of course, I did cheat with some cookies & milk today... but it's ok. It's just one day.

Yesterday I woke up and headed to the gym. My head cold was still bothering me but I decided to push through nonetheless. I was planning to run outside but the wind was insane, and it turns out it rained while I was in the gym, so I think I made the better decision by running on the treadmill. Plus, I ended up having to cut my run short because of my head cold anyway. The pressure in my head was just too much, and I was starting to get dizzy. So, though I was supposed to compete 36 minutes of running, I only did 23 minutes, and that ended up being 2 miles. I am ok with it though. I at least got out there and did what I could. I also think I was probably keeping too fast of a pace, so I should have slowed down a bit too. Lesson learned.

When I got home I decided to try my new Pilates dvds. The set I bought came with 3 dvds - I settled on Pilates for Inflexible People. It was a great choice. The dvd has so many different workout options for beginners, focusing on proper form and breathing. I chose a 15 minute workout, and it was great! I love that the instruction walked you through when to breathe. I felt super relaxed afterwards!! I cant wait to try another workout!

I had planned to start working on a new craft project after I showered and ate lunch, so I headed out to Joann's fabric and then to Target to pick up what I needed. Unfortunately, I laid down on the couch briefly, which turned into a 2 hour nap. I guess my body needed to rest. No complaints though.

I did make a homemade tomato soup! I found the recipe online, and then ended up tweaking it. I really really liked it. I paired it with a grilled ham and cheese sandwich. Perfect comfort food for a chilly head cold night. J ended up coming over last night and he really liked the soup too - he even went back for seconds!!

    Congrats on the weight loss - even if you think it is all water weight :)

I love pilates! It is such a great way to stretch for runners (so is Yoga). Hope you get a lot of use out of the dvd's.
