New To Spark People - my first blog

hello I am new here and I am hoping to get to know some people here. I have to lose almost 200 pounds. All of my doctors tell me that if I lose some weight I will feel alot better, and I am hoping so. Sometimes I just need an extra push or motivation. I need to exercise more I know but I do have chronic back and knee pains but I will pushmyself along and do a little at a time. My mission is optimal and great health. I am highly motivated to change the way Ilive now. I just signed up for spark people this evening and set my fast break goals. Tey are
1. exercise 10-15 miniutes everyday
2. get 8 hours of sleep
3. eat 2 fruits and veggies av day
and being comited to myself. I know I can do it, it's gonna take time.

    You are off to a good start with small, achievable goals. Don't hesitate to change your goals anytime if you find they are too much/not enough. The longest journey starts with the first step...

    You're definitely in the right place! I started out with 232 lbs. to lose. I still have the majority of that weight to lose, but Spark has me off to a really great start!

    There are a lot of successful people on Spark as as you get plugged into the community, you can gain motivation simply by seeing other people's success.

    But best of all is the success from actually using the nutrition tracker, the exercise tracker and charting the success.

    I encourage you to take some time to really get to know the site. You'll definitely find some great stuff on it!

    Maybe I'm partial, lately, I've been posting stuff about how I'm "melting" or raiding my spare closet for smaller clothes to wear. It's really invigorating!

    Welcome! Some suggestions would be not to try to change everything at once. Your fast break goals look like good ones. There will be tough days or days you don't do so well, but don't give up. Get some support from Spark. Everyone has those days. You can do this!
