I had such a great week of training this week! And, it's great to truly feel like I'm "an athlete in training" again. (The food... well, it's better, but not great... so let's concentrate on the good for now.
This week I did the following:
3 runs - 2 short & 1 long
2 bike rides - both for 12 miles (one with my brand new cycling group)
1 spinning class - doing intervals
2 sessions of physical therapy - where we are working on core & glute strength
I also returned to my running group on Monday and have kept up with them all week!!! I just couldn't do it a few months ago. We are running about 1:30 faster than I usually run... and I can do it!!!
Tomorrow is my rest day. Yeah! And, then I taper this week for my half marathon next Sunday! YEAH!!!!
One more thing... I mentioned in my last post that I was excited our group was doing another destination race this spring. Well, they (sadly) chose another TRAIL run! Ugh! My husband really doesn't think it's a good, safe idea for me... and I looked at it (Muir Woods in California) and I just feel too 'mortal' to do it. So, now I'm debating on what to do for the spring....
But, for now, I've got a half marathon to run!!
