Friday, the 9th, was filming day for the video for my insurance company, Humana. I was asked to be in the video to promote the coaching program they offer. I have a personal coach for weight loss/management. Plans were set in motion and the day arrived bright and sunny.
The film crew arrived at 8:45 a.m. on Friday. It consisted of a producer, Russ, a support person from Humana, Emily, and an additional cameraman, Joel. Poor Jowl was allergic to cats and I have 8 of them!!!!! It took them over an hour to set up the equipment. My house is on the small side so they decided to get proper camera distance they would have to film outside. The weather was very cooperative. We set up chairs out in the yard and the producer was really happy with the background shot. Once everything was set the filming began. they put a little powder on me, put a mic on me and off we went. The producer asked me a lot of questions and I answered the best I could. It was really fun.
It was a little cold outside and my teeth started chattering. I couldn't stop it and we had to take a couple of breaks so I could go inside and get warm.
Once the outside filming was done they moved to the inside and shot some video of me using the computer, being on the Humana website and even got some video of one of my cats sleeping behind the computer. Kiki will be famous. then we moved to the kitchen and they filmed me writing my menu on the dry erase board as they liked my two week meal planning and the use of a dry erase board. They also filmed my grocery list (go figure) as I make my list according to what I need to make for the meals that week. ONce all that filming was done they had me prepare a snack. I picked an apple. They filmed me getting it out of the fridge, washing and drying it then getting a plate and cutting it and walking away with it. Then they had me sit at the kitchen table and have a pretend phone call with my coach.
After that we moved to my exercise room and they filmed me walking on my treadmill. Then we moved outside again and they filmed me walking down the road like I usually do, weather permitting,. They loved the country road setting. Once that was over with they asked if my husband would be in the video with the dog. I asked my husband and surprisingly he said, "Yes." so off to the front yard we went to walk and play with Boone.
At 1 p.m it was over with. Everyone said their goodbyes and hugs were given all around. I had a really great time!!! It was so much fun for me. They will provide me with a copy of the video when they get it made. All the filming they do will be condensed to a 2-1/2 minute video. I hope they got some good footage. They said the video would be on the website some time in January.
