I bought nuts and seeds a few weeks ago, but mostly they sat in my cupboard. I bought some high calories, dense cereal to mix with the nuts and seeds to make a simple mix. I can eat a small bowl of granola mixed with nuts and/or seeds and get a lot of calories for a little volume since I've been having trouble reaching my allotted calories.
I have never liked desserts and eating them while exercising and trying to improve my fitness seems like the wrong way to go about it. Whole grains, nuts and seeds seem to be a better way to add calories while also adding high quality nutrients. I hope that the cereal will give me the energy I need to exercise regularly. I'm near my goal weight so I want to stop losing two pounds a week.
