Week Note

Woohoo here another week, wow time is surely going fast. I have been in South Africa since the 4th of this week and it has been great so far. I am making small progresses with my weight.


Week Weigh in

It seems like i am a slower looser, but then again slow and steady wins the race, isn't it? This week i have lost 0.4 kg / 0.9 lbs and 1 cm / 0.4 inch off my hips. Bringing me to a total of 1.2 kg / 2.6 lbs for these 3 weeks, seeing in that way it is a good rate i believe. I under that you seem to loose the most in your first week then it evens out, I guess that is the case of for me , so i can expect a small pound loss each week, since that seems to be the average.

So that means my BMI also went down by 0.1, It is now at 42.2 , needs still working on, since i am still in the obese range, it be nice to get into the overweight range and then into the healthy range, but that will take some time, but that is ok, it took time to gain i can have time to loose weight.

This week's measurements i lost 1 cm / 0.4 inch off my hips. I didn't do too much zumba this week but it is making progress none the less. I have now lost a total of 20 cm / 7.8 inches which is great. I am feeling my clothes are somewhat looser which is a good feeling, i have not have had this feeling in a long time.

Weekly Blogs

It won't include this blog since its the day after the week ended , but this week i have made a total of 20, 1 more than the last 2 weeks. So its about same amount each week, i guess it just easy for me to write lol. Great from all the feedback and advice you get with sparkpeople, it is great, helps me to keep going on my weight loss journey.


Weekly Progress on Spark plan

This week i was focusing on the Fast break strategy # 3 : Setting up shop. I did really well on this, despite not being home. I worked on preventing temptations, promoting convenience and purchasing wisely. I had been eating breakfast, which is a new thing for me , as i normally skip this meal, but the tip of "A growling stomach is just asking for snacking trouble." is quiet wise. And true, Breakfast seems to be the most important meal of the day. It is true, there is no need for expensive gym equipment, when i have just been using sparkpeople and you tube videos to get me going aswell as the walk or jogging that i do on the side, and water bottles are great way to take it with you on the go and get your water intake in.


Weekly Progress on Goals

Motivational plans are going well, i have already made about 1200 spark points, and November has just begun, so i will reach that 3000 spark points goal in no time. I have been listing to motivational songs each day and reading a motivational quote daily, i have done all my weekly blogs this week, and i did work on journalling from the heart, also on the 100 days of weight loss, but that wasn't on my goals list, but that too is coming along well. Nutrition is coming along well too, i ate breakfast each day, I had only 1 item of junk this week, a Mac Donald's filet o fish, just the burger i had. I did track my calories each day and gained my 7500 and some more with my deferential this week. My Fitness goals went well too this week, i did get 40 minutes of daily fitness this week. I did get 5 x this week 20 minutes of cardio, I did work on the 28 day sparkpeople boot camp, but with some of the exercises i switched it to other toning exercises which is allowed to be done with this challenge, I worked on my 3 days of 5K training program, week 3 is complete for that, and i tracked my fitness daily on sparkpeople. Myself goals went well too, i took time out each day, this really helps me to distress and get on my daily life, it is nice to have time outs. My fun thing this week was walking with Anja and some of the children patients in the clinic. That was alot of fun, the kids are such delight. I meditated this week, almost every day, it was needed. And my movie this week was Evan Almighty. Rather fun movie based on the story line of Arc from Noah in the bible.


Wii Fit Age

This week my wii fit age was ranged between 20 - 30. Bringing a average wii age this week to 26. Which is 1 year older than what i am. I only checked in this week 5 times, missing Sunday and Thursday. I am glad to know i am able to continue this whilst in South Africa since the clinic here does have a wii fit.
