HELLO, Dear Friends !
I am still working on backlog in email/comments/blogs (down to 83!)
And that is not counting FEEDS !
Communications with EACH of you is VERY IMPORTANT to me.
I don't want to ignore/omit any of you.
Please be patient while I sift through them all.
Some of you are VERY POPULAR and must have a LOT more than I.
How do you read/respond to all your friends?!!
Well, Well, I had a rough night –
ate over a pint of ice cream!
AND 3 LARGE cookies !
12:30am. Finished emails on computer and was wound down and about to brush teeth and go to bed. Jack was already asleep.
RING! RING! RING !
It was my son Matthew.
Calling from the hospital.
[my heart is POUNDING just remembering!]
Kidney stone. Which by the way, his father Jack has had one all month too.
So NOT a major catastrophe. (Of course my first thought was a car wreck)
He had been there over 2 hours and was waiting for test results and decided to let us know. He promised to call back when he heard.
So of course I could NOT SLEEP then. My sweet Jack NEVER loses sleep over ANYTHING! Wish I could be a calm as he is. (After 32 years, you would think some of it had rubbed off on me. But, NO.)
So while waiting for the update phone call, the ice cream and cookies started calling my name. LOUD.
OK. I did the big No-No. I ate the ice cream directly OUT OF THE CONTAINER!
And 2 hours later - still no call - the cookies also out of the container.
BIG MISTAKES ! UGH! I thought I had totally learned NOT to do that anymore!
But for penance, I walked
AND did 5 mins
with 3 lb dumbbells
I had been off kilter for over a week food and
exercise-wise (mostly days only a 10 minute walk)
An email yesterday had this quote by Heywood Hale Broun:
"Sweat is the cologne of accomplishment."
Also today I got in 9 glasses of water
PLUS 2 unsweetened 12oz cups of green tea
I am STILL addicted to Coca-Cola,
but doing much better (unless out of Diet)
On a lighter note, while reading FerrerLover1’s blog,
it occurred to me that our health/diet motto should be
like part of the medical Hypocratic Oath:
"First Do No Harm"
I like that. It's going on my collage. Which, by the way,
I still need to FINISH.
Have a Wonderful Weekend
