Well, this is a pretty uneventful Friday evening. I hate spending Fridays alone, but I suppose this is how it will be for the next few weeks while J is busy working late and often for this inspection we have coming up. Not going to lie - I am lonely and feeling a bit neglected. Which is not helping when I am already feeling down most of the time. And work was so incredibly slow (for me) today - I felt like the day would never end.
But I stayed positive. I paid attention to my body today - around 2pm I started craving something to eat - anything to eat. But, everytime I walked into the break room there was nothing I actually wanted to eat. Clearly, I was just wanting to snack because I was bored - not because I was actually hungry. So win #1 for me!
I went to the gym after work! Despite it being such a long dragging day, I forced myself to get in that workout that I promised I would do. Plus, I had been looking forward to it, so I couldnt bail! I did 30 minutes of walking treadmill incline intervals, ranging from incline levels 6-12. That was no joke, and I burned 290 calories! That is win #2 for me!
I made a homemade taco salad for dinner, with my own homemade taco seasoning! Seriously, I woke up this morning and really wanted to eat taco salad for dinner. How random is that? So while I was bored at work I looked up homemade taco seasoning online, because the store-bought kind is so ridiculously high in sodium! Luckily, I found a recipe that called for spices that I already had at home! Sweet! I have to say, it tasted yummy. I did feel like it was missing something, but I am just not sure what. Anyway, super yummy and super healthy dinner. That is win #3 for me!
I am really satisified with how well I have been doing with my eating this week. My nutrition is nearly spot-on, and to be honest I'm not even trying that hard. Yes, I'm being mindful of what I am eating, but I'm not forcing myself to do something I dont want to do. So I am calling that win #4 for me!
I changed the url for my blog - I havent updated it since the other day, but I am planning to work on it a bunch this weekend!
Since I probably wont see my boyfriend much this weekend, and I dont have my dog to play with, I will need to find things to keep me busy! This is my list so far:
1) run on Saturday
2) try some pilates
3) cook something healthy in my slowcooker
4) shred some mail
5) do at least one craft
6) work on my new blog
7) do laundry
8) clean my bedroom
This should keep me busy, I suppose.
Have a great weekend, Sparkers!
