I am so stupid! I have heard that funny titles get folks to read your blogs, so that one is for you all.
I was thinking of what the topic of conversation should be for today. I initially began thinking about fad diets and crazy little things that people try to lose weight or improve their looks. I began to think about supplements. WHAT SUPPLEMENTS DO YOU USE AND WHY? I take a daily multi-vitamin, a Magnesium supplement (helps turn stored fat into energy and aids bone recovery for things like shin-splints) and lately I have been taking cinnamon. A girlfriend of mine who is a diet guineau pig, told me to take it because it would help my digestive system. I didn't ask questions I just popped the pill.
This year a new food guide was introduced by the FDA called My Plate. I don't know if it is a replacement of the food pyramid or a supplemental resource to it. This is what it looks like:

so my question is WHICH ONE DO YOU THINK IS BEST? I personally like MY Plate simply because it is simple and easy to follow.
So then THAT got me thinking about body shapes and sizes and how different companies/brands categorize the woman figure. Here are a couple of examples:
of course you have all probably heard of the apple, pear, and hourglass shapes. These were a little bit different. I have been trying to identify myself. I have always thought i was an apple but now I wonder if that is just because that is the best way to describe 272 pounds. When I look at the drawings of the ladies in the swimsuits, I think I am a triangle. Maybe an apple shaped triangle??? WHAT SHAPE ARE YOU????
Well talking about apples got me thinking about food which got me thinking about the holidays. My inner fat girl is so excited!!!!!! I know that I will be a very different eater this Thanksgiving than I have been in Thanksgiving pasts, with that being said, there are some things I am just not willing to give up on that special day. I NEEEEED my
Sweet Potato Pie. And no, I will not settle for pumpkin pie. There is a BIG difference. I must also have Magnolia Pie, or as most people know it, buttermilk pie:

! As long as I can get a slice of these two things, I don't even care if I have anything else. THAT is what I will be saving my calories for. How about you? WHAT DISH CAN YOU NOT LIVE WITHOUT DURING THE HOLIDAYS????
THat was a lot of randomness for one day. You know I like to leave you with a feel good for the day. A lot of you have supported me from the start so you may have already seen before pics of me. Some of you are just getting to know me and have not. So here is a pic showcasing my progress over the last 24 weeks. I actually needed to do this because the other day I felt hopeless, tired and run down. I felt like I was doing a bunch and getting nowhere. The scale hasn't been as kind to me lately and for a perfectionist, that is hard. I needed motivation to keep going. So here it is. Have a blessed day!
