I just don’t understand…….

One of my favorite Sparkpeople said goodbye yesterday……

He said he was called out as a fraud for blogging when he is in a rut with his weight loss journey. What??????

I don’t understand…..where does it say you can only be here and participate if you are perfect? If that’s the case, I guess I need to go too. The last two years have been the worst of my life and I don’t know what I would have done without Sparkpeople and the friends I made here.

I don’t understand his need to go…..I feel he thinks he has to go because he’s stuck….it’s soooo unfair. Darn his friend who told him to go. I can’t bear another loss….


I'm broken hearted.

    I don't know him but please...ask him to come back. No one had the right to talk to him that way and we all get stuck, fall short of our goals, etc. This site is for helping each other thru bad times and cheering on with good times. If there is a mean person...they can be reported. And deleted and blocked from his site.

    emoticon Sounds awful to be asked to leave...I can't understand what might have happened -- this just doesn't seem to make any sense at all. Do you mean to say that someone with authority at SP asked him to go or do you mean someone posting was being mean-spirited and he just couldn't face it? emoticon

I have encountered a mean person on SP (just once) and I was really mad about it. But if it hadn't have been for that incident, I wouldn't have found three groups I later joined.

I hope he comes back and doesn't give up on our wonderful support system!

I am going to miss him too. He always had a kind word for me. We laughed and joked together often. I have lost 2 old Sparkfriends in 2 days and it always saddens me when someone gives up. There is no giving up on yourself. This is about our lives from now until forever. I don't know how he will do on hid own. Maybe he will miss us and come back. Stay strong Keri and continue to fight for what you want.

    I'm sorry that someone was incentive and/or said something unkind.

How can he be a fraud for blogging while in a rut? If he was posting about the rut, then he was reaching out for support. If he was posting positive and upbeat advice, he was trying to motivate himself and other people.

I hope you have a way to contact your friend and invite him back.

    Everyone gets into a rut from time to time and the person who feels he or she has never been in a weight loss rut is not being truthful with themselves.

    I don't understand this either. Please stay because you shouldn't give up some place that makes you feel better. Maybe a letter to the administration can clear up to you what happened. There may be more than you know. I haven't heard of anyone asked to leave for their blogs. Hang in there, there are others out there that want to help you and be there for you.
