I got my new Versa Gripps last night. The trainers at the gym say these are the best and help you lift heavier weight more comfortably. I’ll find out tomorrow. I’m going to go in early and lift for about a half hour before my kettlebell class.
While I understand the concept of lifting heavy, I’m finding that actually doing it is trial and error at first. I started Wednesday evening, and found that I currently have no clue what I am capable of lifting. It did make for some laugh out loud moments for me. Sometimes what I chose was waaaay to heavy and sometimes not enough. So I’ll try it all again tomorrow morning with my new gripps. (They’re hot pink! )
I have also discovered that I need hard rock music with screaming guitars and pounding drums to do my lifting. I’m not ordinarily much of an AC/DC fan, but for lifting it’s fabulous. So I borrowed my husband’s Ted Nugent CD and put that on my iPod, as well as some Triumph, Head East, and Guns n’ Roses. Who knew?
