Turducken

Friday, November 09, 2012

Ha, Ha,
I can't stop chuckling.

I mentioned to a fellow Sparker that since I started SP my children have began to learn how to cook, willingly, on their own.

Now, I am not talking little kids, I mean adults. 24yrs, 22yrs and 19yrs.

Here is the funny part.
My daughter (22yr old) has been emailing me the past few days asking me how to roast a turkey. Should she brine, what spices, how long, etc.

So,
this morning I asked when this dinner was happening and this is her exact reply,

"Tomorrow. And well, even though I've never made a turkey. I am making a turducken. No joke. Just deboned my first chicken. "

OMG! Never made a turkey and she is doing a turducken? I have never made a turducken!
I can't wait to see these photos. She take pics of all her creations and posts it on Facebook.

You don't know how good it make me feel to know I have inspired my kids to start down this path, to not be afraid of trying and failing.

Turduckens are awsome. They are a sourther thing. I have seen them made on TV. I ordered one from a butcher for TG a few years ago. They are very tasty. Kudos your daughter for trying it.
