I had the most amazing thing happen this week, I've gotta make a blog post about it so I don't forget: I actually resisted cupcakes and doughnuts this week. ME. The junk food addict.
Let me break it down:
An awesome co-worker planned on making pumpkin spice cupcakes with chai frosting for my birthday last month, but time didn't allow it. Let it be known: this is my absolutely favorite fall flavor combination. I was drooling at the thought of these cupcakes. She finally decided to bake them and bring them to work on Tuesday - day 2 of my eating plan. Oh the injustice! And she didn't just bake a few, she baked THREE DOZEN. OMG. Total panic. She brought them in at 8am. Normally, I would have had 2 before lunch time alone. I finally had one - just one - for my afternoon snack. And I tracked for it too. Just one!
The next day (while at least a dozen cupcakes remained within full view and easy reach), another co-worker brings in fresh Krispy Kreme doughnuts - hot and fresh. Oh jeez. Another favorite. But did I have any?! No, not a single one. NOT A SINGLE ONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(Ok, so there were still cupcakes and doughnuts left over today. I broke off like 1/3 of a doughnut after lunch. But it wasn't even good the next day, so I threw the last bite away).
I'd better see some progress on the scale this week. Just sayin'. :)
