BSG Week 2 Blog - Magnificent Mums - Favorite Hobby

Thursday, November 08, 2012

While my husband would probably say my favorite hobby is collecting, it is really scrapbooking. I love looking through the photos and remembering the fun times that were had. When I first began scrapbooking, I was single and it was a great time to get together with family and friends. Unfortunately lately I haven't had that opportunity as there are no craft stores locally that hold classes, my daughter lives too far away, and my daughter-in-law is super busy. So I usually end up doing it alone which isn't nearly as much fun.

However, I belong to some online scrap groups that provide me with the inspiration, motivation and companionship to make it still fun.

I also like making cards and people love to receive them. Unfortunately my family is rather small so I usually end up with more than I can use. I have donated a goodly amount of cards to members of our military for them to send back home to their loved ones.

I'd love to try to get into digital scrapbooking but I just don't have the time. Maybe one of these days I'll have the time to. That's great that you make cards and give them to the military for them to send home to their families. emoticon

Great blog about scrapbooking. I'm seeing more & more people who find this to be a great passion. Of course I've never felt I had the time to do it.

Hobby is about the same, although mine are done digitally and just for fun. Happy scrapping!

I'm just not creative enough to scrapbook. I'm sure our military personnel appreciate your cards. What a nice idea!

Hey how fun! I am a scrapbooker and card-maker as well! I actually like doing it all by my lonesome... LOL! I prefer sitting by my scraptable where I have access to all of my stash. I would love to see what you do, do you have a craft blog? Or maybe you could blog about it her with pics?

How nice of you to donate the cards. I am sure it means a lot to those who receive them.

My daughter used to scrapbook, but just doesn't have the time now that the girls have school and sports activities. I never caught the bug :-)
