We Deserve to Look Nice

Apparently I hit a nerve with my blog about deserving new clothes. Lots of people feel or have felt similarly. I still find myself starting in the plus sized and working my way down even thought I know that I now wear a size 16 and I recently bought a size 14W pants suit!
I'm not going to 'save' my nice clothes for a special occasion any more. Today is special and I deserve to look nice for it.
The new Goodwill store near my house opened today. I bought a drawstring skirt, a really nice jacket and a small purse. They give a senior discount, so it was just under $13. I didn't even feel self conscious trying on clothes in front of a mirror in the store because there was a line to use the fitting rooms.
Of course, I'm writing this wearing the most faded black sweatpants that you could possibly imagine. When I take them off I'm going to throw them away. I already threw away another pair of pants that were kind of too big and ragged, even though they were silk. I'm weeding out the bad, old, baggy clothes, but it's surprising how I still come across things that I thought would fit and are too big.
Hooray for us!
