Locks are destroying my life

Thursday, November 08, 2012

My gym membership is great; I get full access to the equipment and classes, full towel service, and a permanent locker, with a combo lock. And thatís where the problem lies. I have very limited exposure to these kinds of locks, in High School we were allowed to use keyed locks; so to put it mildly, I lack skill in it's use.

I donít understand exactly what Iím doing wrong. I know the combo by heart. I carefully dial in all the numbers just as the desk girl showed me; however, it only seems to work once in every twenty (or more tries). I spent about fifteen minutes this morning fighting with my dang lock. That was fifteen minutes out of my work out that I spent standing in the locker room swearing at my locker like a crazy person!

Iím pretty sure I can substitute their combo lock with a keyed lock, however, I have to buy the keyed lock from the gym (I canít use my own), which sucks. But if it gets me to the workout on time, and saves me the, ďstay away from the crazy womanĒ looks, itíll be worth the $15 bucks.

I HATE combination locks, I have the same issues. The keyed lock will be worth every penny.

Oh my! If only fighting with locks and swearing could count as cardio! emoticon
I have the opposite problem, I can't keep track of a locker key! So I bought a really pretty pink lock for my gym locker at the Y. If it were me, I know for a fact my husband would tell me to pay for the lock I needed! Its not worth the headaches emoticon Hope the keyed lock works better for you!
