ration, and pushing through

Well, today started on a discouraging note. emoticon I decided to weigh myself because I have been doing really good on tracking my food and exercise. The scale hadn't budged! emoticon I am grateful that I didn't gain( that would have probably sent me over the edge. lol ), but a little result to show for my efforts would have been nice. I've only lost 5 lbs since last February. I realize that is better than gaining , but it is just frustrating tracking every thing you put in your mouth for little or no return. My husband did point out that I haven't been doing the actual tracking that long and to give it more time. He does have a point. Thanks Hon! emoticon Well, today is a new day so I'll put on my big girl panties and push on! Thanks for letting whine a little. emoticon emoticon

  I though I was the only one with scales not budging. after my husbands heart melt down I went up 6 lbs. up 4 down 4 for a very long time, today too I left spark people for about 8 to 9 months. I came back in Late October and joined I will try very hard I want this weight off. I don't know why our bodies refuse to give up the weight, But you are eating better right?
you are aware of what and when you are eating?
you are drinking more water ?
you are exercising right.

well for all these things, I stand up and clap for you Bravo, Bravo
(Do this not so much to lose weight) you are making your body better, your health is improving every day and soon the weight will drop off. Lori

    Oh, my Spark friend, I have been where you are before and I know I wil be there again. It is so easy to get frustrated when that darn scale seems to be stuck. I've been trying to look at other ways of seeing improvement. Things like walking further or faster on the treadmill, becoming more flexible and building my endurance. I also try to continue to reduce the amount of processed food I eat. I know these things together will help that scale move eventually. Glad to hear you are pushing through and not giving up!

    Keep it up! It is frustrating when the scale doesn't show how hard we're working. Have you taken your measurements as well? It takes a little longer to see a difference with measurements (usually at least 3-4 weeks) but measurements fluctuate less than weight, so you're less likely to be disappointed by temporary weight gain (or lack of loss) due to factors such as water retention.

    I know how you feel. I track every day and exercise most every day for at least 30 minutes and I haven't seen any results. I have lost 10-14 pounds since February. (My weight depends on the day i weigh), but recently there has been no movement on the scale. I get a little frustrated and discouraged but then I look at the small things I am now doing and count them as my positive affirmations. I am drinking 8 glasses of plain water a day, I am eating my freggies, I eat smaller portions using a smaller plate and things like that. Don't give in, stay the course. Perseverance is the key. I know I am a slow loser so I just take my time.
