Well folks, I have talked about moving before, but the time wasn't right. I have determined that the time is right-now, and am very happy with my decision.
I just ordered a nice set of cheap boxes through Amazon, along with 3 wardrobe boxes, as it really is easier to just place all your clothes on a hanger and move them that way. It is so easy to place them in your new closet.
I have lived in the Los Angeles area since 1989, basically just about as many years here as my home state. I am returning home. I am returning to trees, green and more space. Los Angeles has a lot of advantages, but traffic isn't one of them.
I will pack a little at a time and my goal is to have everything packed up & ready to go by January 2013.
I look forward to the new chapter of my life, which I will be sharing with my sis, three pooches, and two birds.
Sometimes, change is good.
Change does not roll in on the wheels of inevitability, but comes through
continuous struggle. And so we must straighten our backs and work for
our freedom. A man can't ride you unless your back is bent.--Martin Luther King, Jr.
All changes, even the most longed for, have their melancholy; for what we
leave behind us is a part of ourselves; we must die to one life before
we can enter another.--Anatole France
It may be hard for an egg to turn into a bird: it would be a jolly sight
harder for it to learn to fly while remaining an egg. We are like eggs
at present. And you cannot go on indefinitely being just an ordinary,
decent egg. We must be hatched or go bad.--C. S. Lewis
