November goals

A quick recap of Oct:

1. Track retail therapy

2. Run 4 x week 

3. Track my food

4. No more than 5 desserts per week

5. No more than one dessert a day!

Actually did really good with them all, so some are repeating this month. Right now I'm only tracking retail therapy on the only credit card that's in my name alone -- it's a start, anyway.

And for November:

1. Track retail therapy

2. Run 4 x week 

3. Track my food

4. At least one day a week 3 whole foods meals

5. At least 1 side veggie with every dinner (when at home)

I've let more processed foods back into my life -- healthy ones, but still processed. At the moment it seems to be working for me. But that doesn't mean every meal every day should be processed!

And sometimes I slack off on veggies at dinner; especially if I've had a salad for lunch.

Of course I try to get freggies in whether I'm home or not, but it'll be harder next week. Who knows what sort of food the hospital will have? Or what my siblings will want?

And with all the craziness in my life:

Brain surgery for my 86 yr old father Monday
Staying in NYC for unspecified length of time due to above
Need to pack for crazy weather 60 (this weekend; NOT now! Snow has been forecast for today) then falling into the 40s in a few days
Get food/info ready for animals (and DH) while I'm gone
Need to get biopsy for Simba, but can't do that til I'm back
Tacke Simba to the vet for laser acupuncture Friday
Pray dad's surgery & recovery goes well
Worry how DH will handle the cats while I'm gone
Continue training for my 4th HM
Get food/info for animals ready again
Pack again
Pack for las Vegas trip
Take Chester to the vet before trip

And may I vent about my SIL for a minute? When DH told her that we were going down to my parents this weekend for one night & then DH will come back the next day while I go to NYC she wanted to know why I didn't just go down by myself. Man, that's cold. She has stresses enough of her own but that made me mad. I actually told him he didn't have to come, but I'm glad he chose to.

And since the best way to get over your own worries is to help someone else, we spent some of last night gathering up some stuff to donate to Sandy victims. I already had some nice winter coats that are too big for me to donate, but scrounged up some old blankets, towels & that sort of thing as well. Our fire dept is taking donations.

    Best wishes for your dad and strength for you....as far as the SIL is concerned....it's not about her....it's about you and yours...your husband is doing what he feels is right for you all and I think you're lucky to have him!

    Looks like a great plan!! Yes, it is hard to get as many veggies in when you're eating out a lot.
