Officially I am now on vacation and not a moment too soon. This last week has been nothing short of brutal. 12 hour shifts, the climbing, the mud, the cold, the yuck... life in the mine has been .. well business as usual but I have been so tired. I have been totally wiped out but that's over now. It's time for my edition of "Miners Gone Wild!"

I have always dreamed of what it would be like to workout and go to the gym without always fretting about getting to work or being so tired from work etc... Well , here is my chance. I have from now until Nov 14th to do just that. I leave for Ohio on the 15th, Fall classic Half Marathon on the 18th then off to NY. I get a week of workout paradise, including 5 hard core sessions with Mario, my trainer. I also get to go SWIMMING!!! my access to the pool is very limited since I work shift work and I can't be there when lap swim is going on but now.. I feel like I used to feel when I would see an awesome buffet!.. **FIX BAYONETS AND SOUND THE CHARGE !!! **

I know that going workout crazy wouldn't be a good thing but now that the stress of work is off, I am wanting to kill it.

I don't go back to work until Dec 1st. Every day away from being "in the hole" adds a week to my life.

I am even going to set up a vacation challenge with my trainer - my idea BTW... to weight in before and after my trip and set up a workout routine while I am gone. I have never felt more strongly that it is time to take it outside the box. It was hard to keep it together this past week but now the pressure is off.

What a relief.

Time to bring it.
