First night of work

Tuesday, November 06, 2012

Ok friends,
it was been a while. emoticon I have been training for my first social work job. Tonight is my first overnight shift. emoticon I am excited! I am also feeling like my eating and sleeping schedule is going to be beezerks! So I appreciate any and all support from other third shifters or those who know about how others deal with third shift. emoticon
I actually haven't weighed myself in over a month. One thing that I have been doing well is eating regularly and drinking more water!
I have to work on eating regularly on an odd schedule though... wish me luck!

All I can say is a huge good luck! I worked 3rd back when I was single and I loved it. However my hubby works 3rd now and it is so much harder to do when you have a family. Trying to keep out 4 yr old quiet while he get sleep during the day is tough, then we feel like we never get to spend time with him b/c he sleeps while we're awake. It's just tough to do with a family, but don't get down. Try to set aside more "US" time since you work 3rd shift. Even schedule cuddle time like an appointment if you have to, you'll feel much better for it. Good luck! And great job keeping with the regular eating and water.
