I failed miserably @....

Tuesday, November 06, 2012

I failed miserably @ cutting out coffee a couple of weeks ago. The mate tea is good, but it is weak compared to coffee & it is hard to kick anything when you are around it at work. It's kind of a social thing. However, I did finally succeed this week! See, never quit quitting. I haven't had coffee since Saturday. I have been off of work since Friday. I am drinking a lot of fresh squeezed fruit & veggie drinks for instant micronutrient bursts instead. I am finally kicking this cold too! I will be going into work tomorrow with pints of juice in tow. I will not give in!

Way to GO!! I have been there so many times. Coffee seems harder than anything for some reason, and tea just doesn't do it for me. If I could drink coffee black, I wouldn't feel so bad about it, but I need cream in it which is just not necessary.
Anyway, I am very encouraged by your success. Keep going!

Stay persistent, you can do it! :) Good job on getting right back up after "falling"! Great willpower :) The fruits and vegs will help with the cold, hope you feel better soon!

I gave up coffee once years ago, and then got a job with Starbucks so I started drinking it again. I have no desire to give it up--I drink a limited amount in the morning and that's it. It is one of my very few pleasures. Besides, I have never been able to drink tea!

It took me years to break my Diet Coke addition, but I can't be happier. I couldn't go cold turkey. tried it. never worked. I eventually ended up weening myself off the stuff by drinking more flavored sparkling water.

Have you tried sparkling waters like Adirondak, Perrier, Poland Springs, etc ? I love lemon or lime flavored sparkling fizzy waters. I don't need Diet Coke anymore. The last time I had it, it tasted so artificial to me.

I was never much of a coffee drinker. I will have a cup very occasionally, but most times I drink tea. I'm a big fan of English Breakfast. If you need the caffeine fix, but don't want coffee, try English Breakfast. they do have decaf.

Of course, have you considered decaf if you really enjoy your cup of coffee ?

I have been through this so many times, I understand completely. However, I'll keep trying cause I know I can do it. So can you - whenever you're ready.

That's one thing I just couldn't give up, but despite the creamer I still managed to loose a ton of weight. One thing though is I have stayed away from the coffee shop, bad news!
