So because I have gone gluten free there are few alcohols that I can drink. I was reading that even distilled liquor made out of grains may not fully get the gluten out and many people still have reactions. I didn't spend the last month getting gluten out just to have it reenter my body in booze. So I went out two Saturdays ago and pretty much stuck to wine. I only drink at the bars and it's too hard to get the bartender to check which vodka is made out of potato or not. Now I can usually drink 6 or 7 mixed drinks and be just fine. Sure I'll be a bit buzzed but my memory is still intact and I can still walk. This night though I only had about 4 glasses of wine and I was trashed. I knocked over a table and I sleepwalked when I got to my parents. (I slept there that night). The next day I googled it and it turns out being on a gluten free diet makes you way more sensitive to alcohol. According to the posts I will get even more sensitive the longer I'm gluten free. I'm not going back on gluten so I guess the better solution would be to stop drinking. I don't really need it anyway and I hate the taste.

Good decision and think of the money you will save when you go to the bar if you aren't drinking!
