I found a message board and team today that soothed my soul. The topic was moderation, and the concept is that we can be gentle with our changes and relaxed in our approach. People spoke of eating cookies without eating the whole package or eradicating them. That balanced approach sounds like a lifestyle that I can maintain long term.

I have been reading a book about intuitive eating and yesterday's perfect day was really a direct result of focusing on what I really want and need to eat, and then paying attention to the experience. I've only been focusing this way for 3 weeks, but maybe it really works! emoticon
