Now that I’ve seen the first article about a ‘stress free’ Thanksgiving, I know that this is the home stretch for 2012. Only two more months to go and they are the toughest months of the whole year.
This is the time when I need to put all I have learned throughout the year to best use. I need to eat mindfully. I need to make plans to stay on a healthy track. Every time I sit down with family or friends to share a meal or snacks, I must remember what I ate when another delicious option comes around later.
I must compensate for times when I eat too many simple carbohydrates by loading up on vegetables at another time. I must steer towards the lean proteins when they are available. I will also find time to sneak in some pushups and walks around the block.
Now, I'm going to read all the relevant articles and make my holiday plan so I don't have to undo the holidays come January.
