You know you need to lose weight when...

...you split your pants at work. My weight has been up and down for the couple of months and, unfortunately for me, everytime I gain, it goes to my hip and thighs. Now, my pants truly did not feel tight on me today at all, but as i went to sit down, I heard a rip. Thankfully, I can keep my lab coat on and keep it covered. How embarrassing!

    Also, you know when you need to lose weight when you do jumping jacks and your thighs continue to slap together! Or what about when you're walking down the steps and you hear that slapping sound again! I hate this!

    Remember that pants do wear out over time and you can split them as they wear out. Many people who aren't overweight have had tears in their pants bottoms. If they didn't feel all that tight then maybe they were just worn out.

    I had that happen to me and I wore a coat all day pretending to be cold. I was so embarrassed it happened in front of my class but 3rd graders can be oblivious to a lot of things. At the time it was motivation until the home made fudge plate was passed around. I am hoping this time it is different.

    Yes, as Nikki said...don't let that set you on the wrong path. That's just motivation to be mindful in eating and going for a walk during your breaks, taking the stairs morning and evenings, maybe doing a quick 10 push ups on the restroom counter for every restroom break (sneaking in workouts) and upping the cardio. You can do it.

    Aww dang. Thank goodness for the lab coat. Don't let it get you down just think of it as motivation. And then think of how nice those hips and backside are going to look when you reach your goal.
