The past 2 weeks have been a haze but I have done pretty well all things considered. I haven't written on my blog because I haven't been at work in a week.
My boyfriend came into town 2 weekends ago to start off the craziness and we did pretty well considering our normal desire to eat EVERYTHING sweet when we see each other. The only flop we really had was getting half a Whole Foods pumpkin pie which tasted delicious but made us feel horribly sick. We still got in a solid hike in the snow that wore us out severely.
My first official business trip to Florida went pretty well. I didn't buy sweets at the airport and mostly ate salads all week & picked out the bad stuff when I didn't have a choice. I squeezed in a workout on one of the mornings but we got so little sleep between the time change and everything (about 3-4 hrs a night) I didn't have much of an option to do more. Our last night we waited to long to eat and I unfortunately did a little pigging out on our nacho appetizer and my fajitas- but that was only one meal at least.
My parents visited immediately afterward and every day for the past 5 days I have been able to wake up early enough to get a solid workout in. I feel so much better! We didn't eat too much together either because we really only ate 2 meals a day.
I'll be blogging again every day now that I'm back and get on track with my 3 goals I layed out earlier-
1. 40 mins exercise before noon
2. Get excited about the holidays for reasons other than food
3. Don't eat free food at work
Only 17 days till Thanksgiving- Benchmark 1! A good amount of time to get in some sweat sessions and get into the proper mindset for the holiday craze.
