NEWSY UPDATE/acid reflux gone

Monday, November 05, 2012

Just thought since it had been awhile since I have blogged, I would bring all ya'll
up to date on activities.....will be another one next week but that's another
story....

I started on this new program with the help of a nutrionist and a husband who is
backing me, supporting me, this time,,,,,in a way he has never done before...

I began this program on September 3rd, 2012, and that first week, I had one bout
of acid reflux, NOT ONE EPISODE with acid since then. To me, that is nothing short
of miraculous....

In case you did not know, David bought us a bed, with a head that would raise me
almost straight up............because I would have to get up and sit in a chair half the
night when one of these would hit......would have been a heck of a lot cheaper if
I had heard of this nutrionist before we bought the bed, but hey, it is very comfy...
so I guess I can't fuss too much..........................
......ha

I have lost just over 25 pounds since September 3rd, and while I know I have a long
way to go yet, to get down to my goal of a really healthy weight, I am satisfied because
I am losing in a regular fashion and not a pound here and maybe next week a half pound,
and so forth.

I think a big key to this is I am not eating any Gluten, no rice, no potatoes, no sweet
potatoes, no bread, no crackers, no pork in any form now, no beans, other than green
beans, and no starchy vegggies like peas.....

I already can tell a major difference in how I feel....this is a lot better than when I lost
the original 37 pounds, then of course, got careless and gained some of that back.....
I feel better physically and mentally.

My bloodwork came back normal, the sugar had been high the last 4 trips in so the dr.
was very upset, and I may add here, he is very nearly doing handstands at the weight
loss and improvement...my cholesterol is down to 160 also.....

So in a few days I will run another one, in the meantime I have to go get busy....
times a wastin'....................

Blessings ya'll,
Darlene

Keep on keeping on you are doing GREAT!

emoticon emoticon emoticon Awesome Blog. I too used to suffer terribly from this. Since a young adult, this plagued me. I am so very glad you found relief. I used to prop the bed up and sleep on mile high pillows, only sleep on my left side, this tends to work. I experimented with not eating or drinking different things to see which ones was causing it. First I gave up carbonated beverages, then unhealthy fats, I have not had a bad night since. I was told by the dr that orange juice would cause it but I can drink it now without a problem with acid reflux, now the calories are another story. LOL

WOOOHOOO!! You are doing really well with the way you are changing up your nutrition and getting weight loss results along with excellent lab work, too. They say its all 80% of what we consume and 20% exercise. You are showing "the proof is in the pudding" every time. Take care and stay healthy!
