Yummy crockpot meal recipe idea from everydaypaleo.com. "Scrumptious Slow Cooker Chicken" has been slightly modified in this trial run from me, wholebodyhealth. My house smells delicious right now! Yum!
Layer 1: about 2 pounds chicken sprinkled with salt & pepper
Layer 2: 1 onion cut up, and 10-12 cloves garlic
Layer 3: Veggies: whatcha got in your fridge? I used carrots
Layer 4: Liquid: 1 cup chicken broth & 1/4 cup coconut oil **
Layer 5: Spices: 1 T sage, 1 T thyme
**Instead of all that coconut oil I used only 1T of it, plus a 1/4 cup coconut milk for a creamy texture of the broth.
Cook all ingredients listed in video on low for about 7 hours or on high for 5 hours.
I'm finding length of time may vary... shorter for my old crockpot...chicken is already done a few hours early!
