9. How old are you and do you think your thoughts about weight loss, fitness, and wellness have changed over time?
I am currently 36. I think when I was younger, I was more concerned with looking cute and feeling better about my appearance. I attached my own self-worth to my weight.
Now I am more interested in being healthy and having more energy to do things with my kids. While I enjoy looking cute and being able to fit into a smaller size, it's less important than when I was younger.
I think we all have a sense of invincibility when we are younger, that we can do anything we want and nothing bad will really ever happen to us. How many of us smoked, drank, ate badly, etc, thinking that we would never see any consequences?
I am much more aware of my health now and strive for total wellness. I want to live a long, healthy life and have energy to fully appreciate it!
