Breakfast and Lunches ...OH MY!

I have got to come up with a better option for my breakfasts and lunches on days I work. Sandwiches just don't work, too many carbs and honestly, they can really spike in calories for what you get. Breakfast usually ends up being a bowl of oatmeal which is fine but gets old. I have yogurt with granola with it half the time, as well.

I don't like to take lunches you have to heat up for the most part, because I don't like to have to rely on sitting in the break room (the company isn't always ideal and to be honest, the room is less than appealing most days, I work with slobs). Granted, with the weather getting colder I may soon have no choice. Sitting in the car with my book will be less of an option.

I used to take talipia but that gets old after awhile too. Salads I'm very "blah" on. Not a fan of them for the most part. Occasionally I don't mind them but honestly, they are a rare thing for me, I just don't like salad dressing and find them boring most of the time.

I also need things that are easy prep because I don't have massive amounts of time most morning. Or they have to be easily prepped the night before.

I also have to keep it inexpensive.

I know, I don't ask for much, right? -laughs-

  Greek Yogurt made into Tzadiki and raw carrots is my favourite....seriously eat protein for breakfast, it makes the world of difference as your body is hungry when it wakes up.....you can have any kind of protein -- nuts, beans, greek yogurt, protein shake etc.

    Thanks for the suggestions. Im actually trying to get away from carb heavy foods and not have to rely on a micro because I don't like going to the break room.

for warm lunch ideas if you treat yourself to a wide necked thermose flask you can take mearly or your meals hot like soup,casoroles.nuddles in sauce
rice,etc,etc.they even do nice thermoses theese days that are in sections so you can havemeat and gravy in one section,vegtables in another etc,etc.when using the thermos it is important first to fill the thermos with boiling hot water at least 5 minutes before using it more if possible.heat the food up then empty the hot water from the thermos and put the food in.because of my sons allergies we used to have to do this when he was in school the whole day i just made enough extra from the night before dinner for him to take with him next day to school.tzhen i heated it up in the microwave before putting in the thermos.if you do this you donīt have to go to the canteen just make sure you have your plate and cultery.if you want ideas for cold brown bagging let us know.
