Gone with the mistakes of last week
In with the new knowledge for next week
I've been reading and bloging, gathering as much information as I can to try and help me make it through one week without a slippage. It's been awhile since I've had that FOCUSED mindset. I'm trying to get it back because I still have a long way to go on this journey.
I've made some friends and have received a lot of suggestions and support on sparkpeople. So, you would think that I would be fired up and ready to go. I think my personal situation of being laid off, missing someone that means a lot to me, and being lonely is impacting my ability to focus. STRESS has been at an all time HIGH for 3 months now!! I'll be soooo glad when I find a job. Being low on money impacts a lot of things. Like having enough food, the right foods, to sustain me for a week. I've been stretching foods which on someday causes me to miss my calorie goal. Then when I do get asked out to dinner with family or go to the grocery store, I find myself over indulging or buying things I shouldn't. Not all the time, but too much of the time. I'm also not sleeping. I'm up all times of the night. I may fall asleep around 1:00 am and up at 4:00 am.
So, I've been spending more time on SparkPeople reading and bloging to keep me out of the fridge. This also helps me from feeling so lonely. I picked up a book over the weekend to read. It should occupy some time as its related to the meal plan I'm on.
So, my goal for next week is just to stay occupied with reading, bloging, and researching things on the internet so I won't get bored, lonely, disgusted and over stressed!
When I started on this journey in April, I was employed, happy, things were going great. I was at my happiest in years!! The weight was coming off. I was doing great. Then, my contract ended, job ended, and things started going down hill.
BUT this too shall pass!! I've got to weather the storm. But I'm so ready for the calm!
