Help! What am I doing wrong???

I'm trying very hard to stay zen about my progress or lack there of, but today that's proving to be difficult. I put in 380 min...6hr 20min of exercise this week. Just under half of that was strength, the rest Cardio, and I'm UP in my weight. I've measured myself this week too and everything went up but hips which went down. 25 (which could be operator error) and waist which stayed the same. I know I have to be making positive changes but a month in and I'm seeing NOTHING and some days it does get to me.

I don't religiously track my food but I will on occasion and I tend to stay pretty consistent with my diet. Maybe not enough.

I just don't know if I'm doing something wrong and of so, what it is. Maybe it's the fact I'm already in an off mood today but I'm trying not to bust into tears right now.

    3. Start tracking religiously!
    If you do those three things, along with your exercise, you WILL lose. But exercising without them won't get you where you want to go. I exercised like a maniac 6 days a week for months with no progress. When I finally started tracking my food AND exercising, I finally started to lose.

    This is ny first month re committing myself to the process since before summer and my workouts are changing as I get a schedule but I will look at my calories. Maybe it's as simple as that. Thank you!

    I agree with yogawitch you body tends to adjust to what you are doing so you have to change it up. good Luck and keep pushing you will get there

    I agree with trying to recalculate your calories in and out and see if maybe it's that you aren't eating enough. I know that I was severely undereating and exercising like a mad woman and no weight was lost!! added some food in and actually lost half a pound. just a thought.

    I'm so glad you wrote this because I have been feeling the same way. I wanted to cry and give up. But I know I have made some positive changes in my exercise and eating habits. YOGAWITCH gave me some good advice too. Hang in there girl and we will both get this thing moving. I think I am going to join an exercise class so I know I am doing things right. emoticon

    Turn the frown upside down, some weeks when you do not feel like progress you do not really know. Fat can be turned into muscle and so technically you did lose, but it can not be seen with the human eye. And by what they say on this website it takes 6 weeks to start noticing physical changes. Your doing good, just wait and see. Weight loss and toning is not a sprint, it is a marathon; all comes with time.

    Recalculate you calorie needs based on your weight and activity level maybe you aren't eatin enough. When I plateau I usually try to shake every thing up. I change my exercise routine, the foods I eat...and recalculate my calories, and track my calories diligently. I have lost 80 pounds so I know about the plateau thing. It seems to happen to me every ten pounds I am plateauing right now because I a 160ish. Every ten pounds.....keep it up, shake it up. That's my best advice.
