I am back up to 172 lbs.... just two months ago I was down to 166. :( I slipped off the exercise and eating right wagon and have paid for it. My pants are tight and my muffin top is back. UGH!
I have lurked on Eat to Live for a long time. I've tried the diet many times in many years but could never stick to it. I'm ready to try again. Today I'm logging what I eat so I can see where I am failing. My portions are just Too Big, too calorie dense. My morning shake and cup of tea equals 571 calories. That's just BREAKFAST!!! Clearly I need a dietary intervention. Last night I made cookies for my family and before I went to bed I had consumed six of them! I never seem to learn. :-(
A couple of weeks ago I watched Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead at the theatre. Dr. Joel Fuhrman supervised Joe Cross while he went on a 60 day juice fast. I really admire Dr. Fuhrman and I was impressed Joe Cross chose him as his doctor. I think it's time to take my admiration to the next level and actually listen to him. Between now and Christmas I want to do a juice fast for ten days. In fact, I'm really looking forward to it. Until then I'm going to follow the 6 week plan to a T and jump start some fat loss. I'm also going to the gym on Tuesday to book an appointment with a personal trainer. I want to do heavy weights for maximum fat loss and improve muscle definition.
Okay, so I'm putting this out there. I have fallen off my vegan wagon. I have stopped exercising. I have gained back six pounds. To rectify this disastrous situation I will EAT TO LIVE... vegetables, fruits, beans, and some whole grains to ultimately take back my health and hopefully lose 20-30 pounds of body fat along the way. I will make outdoor exercise (walking the dog) a priority every day, even if it's only 15 minutes. I will visit the gym at least twice a week to lift weights.
Six months from now I'll be glad I started today. :D
