Thursday I took the van in for the winter tire change-over. Guy said I should give him an hour. It was a mild day and I had dressed in my walking duds, so I walked. About 5 km in about 50 minutes. Felt good.
Today I Nordic-walked (walking with ski poles to include upper-body exertion). Covered 6.5 km all told, total of 63 minutes. 15 of those minutes were warm-up and cool-down walking. Strange day for a walk. The weather has turned very mild after a week of freezing temps and snow. Now the snow is melting and there is heavy fog. Walking in the fog was kind of like walking through down comforters--very close and *very* quiet. Lots of deer and coyote tracks on the road, and the tracks of one moose. Seems the summer animals are gone or sleeping and the winter animals have taken up residence. All good.
All in all, it's been good week. I met my mileage goals, exercise minutes goals, and except for yesterday, stayed well within each day's calorie goals. Couldn't say no to fresh raisin bread yesterday, or to Bailey's Irish Cream at bedtime last night. Stayed right at the bottom of the calorie range today as expiation : )
