I am just so depressed about everything and I just don't know why I keep trying things I know don't work. What am I even trying? :(

    I can let you know what helped me it may help you too
    First you need to find your true motivation
    Keep track of what you eat and have your plans layer out ahead of time
    Drink water
    And before you eat think about why you ate about to eat is it because you are bored or is it because you are truly hungry
    Sometimes thirst can make us feel hungry when in reality we are thirsty so make sure you drink water before you make any decisions then go from there
    Find some low cal go to foods that are easy and healthy for a quick snack mine are apples I buy the packaged ones for me they are easier because I have kids but the regular ones are great too
    Find an exercise that u enjoy because you are more likely to follow through with your exercise if you enjoy it mine is riding bikes it's my favorite but the eliptical is great too because I can watch tv while I do it
    Always remember mucle burns more calories than fat
    Always take your buggy back to its section after shopping and park at the back of the lot not in the closest spot you can find
    Find a partner someone to join the task with you spark has been great for me my husband started dieting after he saw the weight I lost too
    And remember you didn't gain weight in a day you can't expect to loose it in a day either
    You can do this !

    I started on Spark in August 2010 weighing 175 and by October I was up to 184. I did not start to lose weight until I made a few changes. Some of the changes I made was to drink 8 cups of water a day, get 8 hours of sleep (or as close to 8 hours as I could), and taper down on my meat consumption. For instance, I would use the meals here on the meal tracker. One of my favorites is the Vegan spaghetti; lentil beans are used in place of meat. It did not sound like it would taste good, but it is one of my favorites.

    Spark has a lot of tools here and it can be overwhelming. Read as much as you can here and apply one or two at a time. Once you have a routine for those things, keep adding to them.

    Also try new things and do not tell yourself, "I will start doing this activity once I get to this weight". Step out of your comfort zone and just go for it.

    Don't quit. I read your blog "trying to get past this" and it just sounded like you were being a little obsessed... which is a bad thing when your trying to live a healthy lifestyle. maybe try a different approach that's more reasonable to live with. Who wants to count every little calorie!? You can lose weight just by eating clean foods. Foods that grow from the ground that's full of flavor and nutrients. also natural animal meats have great benefits as well, such as amino acids and creatine to help you build lean muscle. Have fun with life. If you are challenging yourself, moving, doing things you LOVE, and accomplishing everyday goals... everything will add up and the pounds will start dropping. Also, You will be MUCH happier.

    I don't know either but I say it will be a brand new day tomorrow and that would be a great opportunity to start anew. Or just allow yourself some time to regroup. sometimes we take two steps forward, one back, and you know what that means? yep you are going forward!
