Snack with your LEFT hand...

Saturday, November 03, 2012

My sis sent me this quote:

First for Women magazine
To outsmart food temptation, especially around leftover Halloween candy, try nibbling using your non-dominant hand. Researchers at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles found that switching hands helped women effortlessly cut their calorie intake by 30%. The theory: eating with your clumsier hand slows you down, giving your body time to produce appetite-taming compounds!

30% less!! emoticon Oh yes...I am trying this one!!

Thanks for mentioning your blog in the Huddle wall. I am going to share it with one of my friends. The problem for me with that is that I am ambidextrous! emoticon So maybe I can change hands every other bite (exeept at a restaurant) to be a little bit slower. emoticon

What a great idea. Maybe I should try to eat with my toes!! That way, whenever I had a food temptation, I would have to take off my shoes and socks.
All the best.

This makes lots of sense! Plus, it forces your brain to make new pathways when you do something that really makes you THINK!
Great idea! Thank you!
