Today, I started my Triathlon training. I swam 34 laps (850 meters) in 45 minutes. I'm not really happy with this, but it is a work in progress. I didn't push myself as much as I could have, but that is because it's my first time in the pool swimming laps in....oh about 12 years. I'm still trying to feel this out.
I can only get better from here. I'm thinking I need to build up some endurance first and then go for speed. I know I'll figure this out, just a matter of time.
On to running and biking. I'm thinking Tuesday, Thursday, Saturdays, and 1/2 hour for each. That will leave me Monday, Wednesday, Friday, for swimming. This won't impact my strength training schedule either. I will still keep that going, it really helps.
The good thing is I'm only adding an additional 3 hours of cardio to my schedule a week. LOL only 3 extra hours. I'm pretty sure I can keep this up. I only have to do this until the end of February.
