This month I joined the monthly challenge in the Healthy Lifestyle Forever group. In it we get points for exercise, drinking 8 glasses of water, giving a spark Goodie to a spark friend, taking 20 minutes to eat our meals, having a half plate of veggies or fruit, being thankful for one thing a day, staying in our calorie range, and logging our nutrition. I really have to work at eating my food slower. I am so used to eating fast. I find myself watching the clock while I eat. Also in the BLC challenge we we are supposed to write our menu for the coming week and write down what exercises we are going to be doing. That is something I never did before either; writing out what exercises I was going to do ahead. Meals yes exercise no. So it was a challenge to sit down and figure it out for a week. Especially since I wanted full points for the weekend challenge; which includes 50 points for every 30 minutes of exercise. Max points is 200 for 120 minutes. Which is what i am aiming for even though I am not putting it all in the fitness tracker. Next week starting on Sunday i will increase my exercise by 5 minutes to 70 instead of 65 to lose weight better. I took the dog for a brisk walk today. I had to push him along or he would dawdle and sniff at everything in sight. Either that or he wants to sniff at vehicles on the side of the road or wrap his leash around a metal post. When we lived in our former place he used to wrap his chain around the tree I had him by or one time he wrapped his chain around the tire of our tractor that was in the yard. He is a good one for that.
