Got a lot of proper food this afternoon so we're good. Second day of Nanowrimo and I got all of my words submitted so far, and am even a little bit ahead. This will be an interesting month of discipline as I focus upon increasing my novel word count, while decreasing my weight.

I want to take some fresh photos this weekend so I can have accurate records of this journey from beginning through end.

Since I was here last, I haven't been on a scale. I am still trying to decide what I want my weighing-in schedule to be. When I lost the first 100+ pounds 6 years ago, I only weighed in once a month. I was thinking of doing it weekly, like every Monday. But I am thinking every two weeks may be a really good schedule. It is often enough to be inspiring but not enough to turn into an obsession.

Tomorrow I start chugging water again. I have to build myself back up to 168 ounces. That is NOT going to be fun. It is not the water that is the problem, but that 4-5 hour period each day which as me going to the bathroom every 7-10 minutes! This is trying under the best of circumstances, but with my arthritis - it is just agonizingly painful. But carrying all of this weight on these knees is painful with no hope of relief unless I do shed this weight so. . .An increase in pain for a determined amount of time that's going to lead to relief, well that's a no-brainer.

I know from experience that I have much more success when I have just a handful of the same foods in my plan. My baby, as usual, does whatever Mommy does. I know that there is a tremendous amount of variety that is healthful, but whatever works for whoever. I plan to work with just a few things, at least for a couple of weeks. If I get bored with it, I'll rotate out to another set of just a few things. [sigh] So here we (Cerridwen via Sparkteens), go!

  Seems like you have plan - I'm sorry about the bathroom breaks though. Hope the week goes well for you.
