Getting Rid of White Flour Foods

Friday, November 02, 2012

I made it. Day two on my spark-blog. I'm very tired so I don't think this will be that long.

Lemme see...
Oh, I only had 1 homemade mini donut today - concerning junk food. I didn't eat Halloween candy. I didn't eat any yesterday, but I had 4 or 5 mini donuts. Hah!

I did pretty well concerning calories - topping out around 1200-something. My stomach is growling now, so I think I might grab a piece of cheese or nuts before I head to bed.

I picked up some Hibiscus flower from the Fresh and Natural Foods store and made tea tonight. It was fantastic, and healthy for the immune system. I'll keep that drink up daily. I also picked out whole wheat bread flour, rye, spelt and buckwheat for my bread that I will bake this weekend. I'm still going to make my breads at home, just getting around the white flours. It seems that I crave sugar when I eat it, and sugary foods, of course. I'll post how my bread turns out. I'm pretty excited to try new recipes - adding all sorts of nuts and seeds!

Tomorrow I'm heading to the Mall of America with my mom, and I'm thinking that I'll pack some healthy foods to eat while we are there. We normally just eat there. I wonder if they have a juice bar yet. I like juicing... :o) Ok, I'm rambling. Time for bed.
