October is over... This month was not my best - I struggled with sinus infection and I was very tired... as a result I had a very hard time following a plan.
I decided to get back at it by starting a Sparktreak personal challenge... and I feel better already. I also need to get another exercise goal in mind. I need to set an objective so I would work toward my GOAL.
I run because I like the results I get - I can really see an improvement.... over time!
This week. I was not feeling like running, not at all (mostly because I am still not feeling 100%). Nevertheless, I ran twice and my inspiration was the the Virtual 5K Trick or Treat Trot... See, I received a Spark email reminding me that I committed to this earlier this month. So, as I went to work on Thursday, I decided to do it. Just do it!
I ran the 5km on the track at the gym... It was not an easy run, I wanted to quit.
Final time: 22 min 13 sec. I am happy with this. This is not an improvement from my last 5km but I am very happy I did it! I was not going to run this week...
Looking back at my running journey, (and this is what I was thinking as I was running my virtual race), I remember feeling terrible going for a run trying to keep up with Jeff back in 2009. In 2010, I decided that I want to change this and set up goals for myself. I did it... My first time running an official 5km (in an actual race in September of 2010) I was very happy with my 23min 56 sec. Since then, I completed 4 HM and many other shorter distances.
Signing up for virtual race is my way to go for a goal. I will sign up for another one again! Wohoo!!!

I am afraid that I will not reach my goal of 1500 miles this year... I am still trying to go farther than last year!

My weight goal for 1 January 2013: 108... (drop 4 - I can do this) and stop the yoyo...
My food goal - in range and healthy choices! I am on DAY 6 of my SparkTreak!
Tonight dinner was Scallop Potatoes and Tuna casserole!
292.7 cal per serving; 2.7 g fat, 43 g carbs, 4.8 g fiber and 23.2 g protein.
Oh, I forgot to mention that my folks think I am a bit weird taking pictures of my food. I have to admit that I like it. I like tracking my food. I like using the Spark Recipe Calculator and sharing recipe with my Sparkfriends!
